This is especially important for group lessons as we need to ensure that everyone in the group is of a similar standard. We use the following system:<br> <br> <strong><font color="#00ff00">Level 1</font></strong>: complete beginners. <br> <br> <strong><font color="#00ff00">Level 2</font></strong>: advanced beginners able to use the handle tow on the nursery slopes, some control of speed and direction. <br> <br> <strong><font color="#0000ff">Level 3</font></strong>: skiers and snowboarders should be able to ride all lifts on the nursery and easy slops, be able to control speed using turns. <br> <br> <strong><font color="#0000ff">Level 4</font></strong>: confident on blue runs, turning comfortably. Skiers should have their skis parallel some of the time. Snowboarders should be confident on both heel and toe side turns. <br> <br> <strong><font color="#ff0000">Level 5</font></strong>: confident on red runs when conditions are good. Feel challenged by ice, moguls or deep snow. <br> <br> <strong><font color="#000000">Level 6</font></strong>: confident with red runs in all conditions, get down most black runs. Looking to improve in moguls, off-piste or carving. <br> <br> <strong><font color="#ffff00">Level 7</font></strong>: confident on blacks and be able to safely get down itinerary routes. From the gentle nursery slopes in town, you can progress to the blue runs at Savolaryres, Lac des Vaux or La Chaux with their high speed lifts. There is a good selection of red runs from Attelas and for the more adventurous you can board, via Sivies to Nendaz or Thyon, which takes several hours. Make sure you are in time for the last lift back as a taxi ride from Sivies to Verbier is one and a half hours long! </td> </tr> <tr> <td><br></td> <td width="50%"> For the freestyles the main funpark is at La Chaux with its new high speed lift ensuring fast turnaround times. There is a smaller park at Savolaryres with a skier/boarder-cross course and other parks in Nendaz and Thyon.<br> <br> However, Verbier is best known for its amazing off-piste terrain with routes such as Tortin, Mont Fort – Col Des Gentianes and Vallon d’Arby, which are avalanched controlled, to more serious routes such as backside Mont Fort, Stairway and Catwalk that are not. All bookings and reservations not cancelled more than 24 hours in advance will be subject to payment in full. Altitude will not be liable for adverse weather conditions, breakdowns of mechanical installations or other incidents beyond the company’s control. Ski / snowboard lessons and High-Performance Sessions are only reimbursable in the case of complete closure of all skiable terrain or on production of a valid medical certificate. Altitude declines all liability in the case of an accident that occurs during any lesson or company run event. Altitude reserves the right to cancel any session if payment is not settled in full before the lesson or High-Performance Session. Altitude reserves the right to cancel any group lesson or High-Performance Session that has insufficient numbers to run (minimum of 3 people). <br> <br> <h2> LATE FEE</h2> Because of the nature of our business and the fact that we are often very busy and must move promptly from one session to another we must insist on our guests being punctual. Instructors are asked to wait for clients for up to 45 minutes. If the client has not called our office or the instructor to say they will be late within this time the instructor is entitled to leave and the client will be liable for full payment of the lesson. If a client has a child in a lesson with Altitude, but does not arrive within 30 minutes of the agreed time, to pick up the child, we will have to enforce a charge of CHF 50.- per half hour for remaining responsible for the child, unless the parent calls our office to notify us that they will be late. <br><br> <span class="minorheaderb"> Attention! - Lift passes are obligatory and are not included in our prices. </span> <br> <br> Participation in any of our activities does not include insurance.
